Job Description

As a key member of the team, Aircraft Performance Engineer is responsible to oversee the aircraft's take-off, enroute and landing performance data production.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide aircraft performance data used in Flight Crew Operation Manuals, Operation Flight Planning system, oxygen compliance reports for the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department (HKCAD), etc.
  • Evaluate and design flight procedures to mitigate noise level, CO2 emission level during take-off and landing
  • Evaluate new aircraft's performance and associated routes to enhance company best practice
  • Provide regular support to Airline Planning Team on payload capability, fuel burn, and flight time studies in achieving commercial and operational goals
  • Provide operational and commercial assessments on new routings to achieve the business continuity and expansion
  • Measure and report to management on fuel efficiency and work with other departments on fuel issues
  • Implement manufacturers' aircraft performance design changes for various aircraft types, to ensure operational safety and efficiency
  • Fly as an observer in revenue, delivery, and test flights to collect and analyze in-flight performance data for operational safety and efficiency

 

Requirements

  • Hong Kong permanent resident status
  • Degree holder, and or relevant professional qualification in Engineering / Aerospace discipline
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ working experience in aviation field
  • Experience in the flight planning system used by airlines
  • Knowledge of Automation software will be an advantage
  • Good command of both oral and written English, Chinese and Mandarin
  • A team player, with excellent decision making and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to work with data / statistics
  • Independent, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
