Job Description

Planning Support Engineer is responsible for Engineering Planning function, coordinate with Service Provider's Planning Team and monitor their performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning function of the aircraft
  • Ensuring the AMP is up to date and meeting the regulatory requirement including the incorporate the change as required from various sources, e.g. Reliability, Inflight Services Department and Flight Operations Department
  • Monitoring the performance of the fleet technical management provider with respect to the engineering planning function
  • Monitoring the performance of the MRO, both quality and cost
  • Invoice and manhour vetting
  • Support aircraft check in maintenance inside and outside of Hong Kong
  • Support C of A renewal with collecting and vetting maintenance records

 

Requirements

  • Hong Kong permanent resident status
  • Relevant Engineering Degree (Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Avionic or other relevant studies), or aircraft maintenance technician with additional education acceptable to the Department
  • Thorough familiarity with the organisation's Maintenance Management Exposition, maintenance methods and aircraft types to be operated under the AOC
  • A minimum of 8 years' work experience in aviation industry
  • Experienced in the company systems and procedures and technically knowledgeable of the aircraft being maintained
  • Experienced in fleet technical management, in particular engineering or production planning and good understanding of airline operation
  • Proficient in oral and written English and Chinese (Putonghua is a plus)
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Independent, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and project management skills are essential
  • Able to travel overseas extensively, as and when required
  • Fully COVID-19 vaccinated; consideration will be given to those who are unable to get vaccinated for valid medical reasons
