Job Description

This position demands a high level of proficiency in both written and oral English and Chinese, including Putonghua, as the successful candidate will be required to assist the Chairman with Board liaison tasks and activities, and provide company secretarial and administrative support to the Chairman and senior management of the Company.  In addition, the successful candidate is expected to provide translation of documents in both languages for presentation to the Board of Directors and provide simultaneous interpretation for the Chairman at external meetings and social events from time to time.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Board members and facilitate effectiveness of Board meetings including minutes taking
  • Provide company secretarial and administrative support to senior management
  • Provide the Chairman simultaneous interpretation during business meetings and events
  • Translate, proof-read and edit business documents in both English and Chinese for the Chairman and the Board
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Hong Kong permanent resident status
  • Holder of bachelor’s degree in translation and interpretation or related discipline
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.  Prior exposure or working experience in the company secretarial profession and/or aviation industry is an added advantage
  • High level of integrity and sensitivity in handling sensitive information
  • Excellent command of written and oral English and Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese) 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well-organised and attention to details
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Chinese word processing
