GROUND SERVICES MANAGER (CONTRACTS AND PROJECT DEVELOPMENT)

Job Description

You are expected to assist in establishing the policy and procedures for ground handling agent selection and assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and finalize all contracts with ground service providers at each airport station, ensuring favourable terms and conditions
  •  Provide full analysis for service provider selection
  • Review all agreements between the airline and airport authorities related to ground operations
  • Visit and meet with external service providers to ensure compliance and operation integrity
  • Manage Service Level Agreements with all external service providers in HK and outstations
  • Plan and execute contract renewal according to service provider performance
  • Ensure all contracts bring the Company the best efficiency and cost effectiveness
  • Work closely with other departments and sections on new station preparation and set up 
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual ground services budget in collaboration with the Finance department
  • Collaborates with the HR department to determine staffing requirements for outstations, working closely to calculate the necessary headcounts and actively participating in the recruitment process to ensure the selection of suitable personnel
  • Provides support to Outstation Managers during the setup of new stations, assisting with office setup and actively participating in the recruitment process to ensure appropriate staffing and efficient station functioning
  • Implements and monitors cost control measures within the Ground Services team, establishing a strong mindset focused on cost efficiency, continuously evaluating, and improving processes, and optimizing expenses to enhance financial performance
  • Perform any other duties as assigned  

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, aviation management, or a related field
  • A minimum of 10 years’ aviation or airline experience, including 3 years in managerial level
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Knowledge of all aspects of Ground Operations and IOSA requirements
  • Thorough understanding of ground services operations, airport regulations, and industry best practices
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin is a plus)
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • People manager with good communication skills and a fast decision maker
  •  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues proactively
  • Willingness to travel to various airport stations as required
