Greater Bay Airlines launches scheduled service to Huangshan today

Greater Bay Airlines further expanded its coverage in Mainland China as it started a scheduled service to Huangshan today. This direct service offers either a morning or afternoon flight three times a week, every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday between Hong Kong and Huangshan.

The inaugural flight arrived at Huangshan Tunxi International Airport around 6:45pm this evening. The inaugural flight was warmly welcomed by Mr Zhang Yaqiang, Leading Party Group Member and Vice Mayor of the People’s Government of Huangshan (11th right) and distinguished guests accompanied by Ms Liza Ng, CEO of GBA (11th left).

A water salute ceremony was hosted to celebrate the arrival of the inaugural flight at Huangshan Tunxi International Airport this evening.

(4 December 2024) Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) further expanded its coverage in Mainland China as it started a scheduled service to Huangshan today, following the launch of the Zhoushan route just a month ago. This direct service offers either a morning or afternoon flight three times a week, every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, bringing greater flexibility and convenience to travellers.

A water salute ceremony was hosted to celebrate the arrival of the inaugural flight at Huangshan Tunxi International Airport around 6:45pm this evening. Passengers were warmly welcomed by Mr Zhang Yaqiang, Leading Party Group Member and Vice Mayor of the People’s Government of Huangshan and distinguished guests accompanied by Ms Liza Ng, CEO of GBA, who then took the return flight to go back to Hong Kong.

Located in southern Anhui Province of East China, Huangshan is famous of its spectacular natural scenery and attracted a record high of 4.57 million visitors in 2023.

A value carrier based in Hong Kong, GBA commenced scheduled service in July 2022 and is currently operating flights between Hong Kong and Bangkok, Taipei, Seoul, Tokyo, Osaka, Yonago, Tokushima, Manila, Zhoushan and Huangshan with a fleet of eight Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
