Greater Bay Airlines starts scheduled service to Surabaya, Indonesia

Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) commenced a scheduled service to Surabaya, Indonesia, yesterday (25 September). The airline held an inaugural ceremony at Terminal 2 of Hong Kong International Airport yesterday afternoon. It was attended by numerous distinguished guests, including Legislative Council Members Yiu Pak-leung (6th left) and Vivian Kong (5th left), Acting Consul General of Indonesia in Hong Kong and Macau Baskara Pradipta (6th right), Director-General of Civil Aviation Clara Wong (5th right), Principal Assistant Secretary for Transport and Logistics Stephen Lo (4th right), Assistant Secretary for Transport and Logistics Miki Chan (3rd right), Airport Authority Hong Kong’s Director of Service Delivery Wing Yeung (4th left) and General Manager, Route Development Ricky Chong (3rd left). The event was hosted by GBA’s Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Hou Wei (middle), Chief Operating Officer Gus Larard (2nd right) and Chief Services Officer Stanley Kan (2nd left).

The event was attended by Muhammad Tohir, General Manager, InJourney Airports (middle), Qiqi Wu, Director, PT Dua Putra Express (2nd right), Nicholas Yeung, Deputy Director, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Jakarta (1st right), Kenrick Ko, Assistant General Manager, Communications and Brand Marketing, GBA (1st left) and Robert Sham, Manager, International Affairs, GBA (2nd left).

(26 September 2026) Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) commenced a scheduled service to Surabaya, Indonesia, yesterday (25 September). The airline’s first route to Indonesia, the service operates four times a week (every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday), providing direct flights between Hong Kong and Juanda International Airport in Surabaya.
