Greater Bay Airlines to launch seasonal service to Chongqing in September and October

(15 June 2026) Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) will launch a seasonal service between Hong Kong and Chongqing from 4 September to 16 October this year, in response to the growing passenger demand. This new route will offer three weekly flights between Hong Kong and Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport during the above period.

Located in southwestern China, Chongqing Municipality is a key economic and cultural hub in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. Known as “Mountain City”, Chongqing is renowned for its distinctive terrain and spectacular night views, making it a popular destination among travellers from Hong Kong. The city boasts a diverse range of tourist attractions, such as Hongya Cave, a national 4A-level scenic area featuring traditional Bayu-style “Diaojiaolou” stilt buildings; Wulong Three Natural Bridges, a famous filming location for numerous legendary movies; Dazu Rock Carvings, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; and Nanshan One Tree Lookout, which offers panoramic views of both Yangtze River and Jialing River.
