Head of Planning and Revenue Management
Job Description
We are looking for a professional who is motivated to take on the challenges of contributing and shaping the success of a young and growing airline. The candidate is expected to play a crucial role as a key member of the senior management team and undertakes a diverse strategic role overseeing the core commercial functions of the airline, which is critical to the success of the airline’s business growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and see through the execution of revenue management strategies to optimize pricing strategies and maximization of the airline’s profitability
- Implement advanced analytical tools and techniques to enhance revenue forecasting and performance tracking
- Monitor and analyze revenue performance, adjusting as needed to meet financial goals
- Optimize network revenue through the application of revenue sharing model, and the implementation of revenue management strategy, systems and processes
- Develop and implement the airline's network planning strategy, oversee the effective and efficient planning of fleet utilization, route schedules and capacity
- Collaborate with operations and commercial teams to ensure that the planning initiatives are in alignment with the business objectives
- Oversee the acquisition and maintenance of the airline’s traffic rights in support of operations and new business opportunities, and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Develop and manage relationships with related aviation authorities, partner airlines, and industry stakeholders
- Formulate annual and periodic budgets and forecasts in line with corporate fleet and business plan
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Hong Kong permanent resident status
- Holder of a bachelor’s degree or above in business management or a related discipline
- A minimum of 10 years’ relevant business development experience in the airline industry, and at least 5 of which in a senior management capacity
- Knowledge and experience of distribution and revenue management systems/models in the airline industry
- Proven successful commercial and stakeholder management ability and experience
- Good knowledge and experience of the aviation markets in Asia Pacific and Mainland China
- Excellent command of both oral and written English, proficiency in the Chinese language a significant attribute
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Strong leadership, business acumen and results driven
