Greater Bay Airlines welcomes the 2025 Policy Address

(17 September 2025) As stated in the 2025 Policy Address delivered by the Chief Executive today, the Hong Kong SAR Government will support the acceleration of the expansion of Hong Kong’s aviation network and introduce various initiatives to realise the motif of “tourism is everywhere”. Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) welcomed these initiatives that will help further enhance Hong Kong’s status as an international aviation hub and foster the development of the city’s tourism industry and overall economy. GBA will continue to expand its passenger network to meet the market demand and is set to receive two Boeing 737-9 aircraft by the end of this year as a part of the airline’s business strategy. Amidst the commissioning of Hong Kong International Airport’s Three-runway System last November, we propose a decrease in the airport construction fee to lower the cost of travelling for passengers departing from or transiting through Hong Kong, speeding up the recovery of the passenger traffic to the pre-COVID levels.
