Assistant Manager, Airline Planning

Job Description

You are expected to help formulate network development plans and conduct research for the profitable growth of the Company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate network development plans for the profitable growth of the Company
  • Perform route evaluations conducting research to identify new routes and opportunities for the Company
  • Monitor and analyse competitor airlines, in terms of schedules, product and fleet mix etc, and report implications to senior management
  • Coordinate for the preparation of the Budget Operating Plan documents for distribution to senior management
  • Oversee the constant review of route performance against targets and report on deviations requiring management intervention
  • Monitor weekly and monthly financial results, identifying anomalies, emergence of trends, opportunities and threads that require further analysis
  • Collaborate closely with commercial teams to conduct economic analysis and evaluate the impacts of planned schedule changes
  • Coordinate with operational teams to ensure resource allocation and operational readiness for the planned schedule
  • Assist with government license and permit applications related to new routes and schedule changes as needed
  • Build and manage relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Hong Kong permanent resident status
  • Holder of a bachelor’s degree or above in Economics, Business, Statistics, Mathematical, Science, or related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in strategic planning of which 2 years in a supervisory capacity is preferred
  • Airline experience in a network planning or scheduling role would be an advantage
  • Strategic thinking and well versed in airline economic methods and analysis
  • Excellent numeracy skills and highly literate
  • Attention to details and quality
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • A team player with effective communication skills
