RIDING ENGINEER
The candidate reports to Manager, Maintenance Operations and performs riding duties between Hong Kong and outports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance duties during aircraft transits which include but not limited to defect trouble shooting, aircraft inspection, certification, and AOG spare part inspection
- Ensure all maintenance works on aircraft, engines, components, and equipment are recorded and carried out properly
- Record defect findings with proper action handling and rectification / deferral
- Establish a good co-operational relationship with local MROs, service providers, and agents
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Hong Kong permanent resident status
- Holder of a Higher Diploma or above in aircraft engineering or any related discipline and / or a qualification that demonstrates suitable experience in aircraft maintenance
- Valid aircraft maintenance basic license(s) holder (HKAR, FAA, EASA, CCAR, etc.) or equivalent and type rated to the airline’s operating fleet would be an advantage
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in aircraft maintenance with at least 3 years aircraft CRS experience
- Exposure in 737 series aircraft maintenance certification experience is highly preferred
- Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese
- Strong interpersonal skills and good team player
- Independent and ability to work under pressure with good decision making
- Shift duties on a roster basis
- Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Riding Engineer
