Job Description
You are accountable to ensure all parts and materials are available for all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in the most costs effective manner. This role is responsible for working across key stakeholders, MROs, OEMs, repair services and suppliers to deliver.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Inventory Technical Management Service Provider, assigned contracts and agreements to ensure a professional support to the operations
- Manage the materials / components shortages for AOG and deferred defects to ensure that spares provided by the service providers are available for aircraft, engine, and equipment defects rectification promptly against the agreed service levels
- Ensure the materials and components provided by the service providers are in compliance with quality standards and the requirements set forth in the Hong Kong Airworthiness Notice No.17
- Review with the service providers at regular interval to ensure that the spares holdings at all locations are active with correct aircraft configuration and adequate for meeting the operational requirements in relation to routes, frequency of flights and number of aircraft
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Hong Kong permanent resident status
- Holder of a degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Avionic or other relevant studies)
- Minimum 12 years’ relevant experience including 8 years in the airlines industry, and appropriate management experience
- Broad experience of aircraft parts sourcing, and component repairs, exchanges & loans
- Aircraft system technical knowledge would be advantageous
- Proficiency in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Strong commercial acumen
- Proven ability to lead and deliver business improvement
