Greater Bay Airlines to launch Tokyo service in January 2023

(2 December 2022) Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) is pleased to announce the addition of Tokyo as a new destination to its expanding network starting 12 January 2023. This new service will operate daily between Hong Kong and Tokyo (Narita International Airport).

Japan is undoubtedly one of the most preferred holiday destinations for Hong Kong people. GBA’s new Hong Kong – Tokyo, Narita service offers a convenient schedule with a daily morning flight to Hong Kong travellers who have been looking forward to the opportunity of revisiting Tokyo for the fascinating travel experience in the capital city of Japan.   

Travel to Japan has been on the rise since the country’s earlier announcement of its total removal of COVID related entry measures for visitors to the country on 11 October 2022.  According to the Japan National Tourism Organization, the estimated number of visitor arrivals from Hong Kong was 36,200 in October 2022, compared to only 2,800 in September 2022.

The new service is operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft with an all-economy configuration.
