CARGO SALES AND SERVICES SUPERVISOR
You are expected to play a key operational role within the Company's cargo division; responsible for delivering professional reservation services and customer support to freight forwarders, shippers and agents across the Company; ensure accurate, timely, and revenue maximising cargo bookings on our network; Support the Company’s strategic expansion of belly-hold cargo services linking Hong Kong International Airport with key Asian destinations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process cargo reservations, confirmations, amendments, and special cargo requests, including dangerous goods, temperature-controlled shipments and live animals.
- Optimize cargo revenue through effective yield management, capacity control, and backlog clearance.
- Prepare and verify Air Waybills (AWB), manifests and other cargo documentation while ensuring compliance with IATA and customs regulations.
- Provide professional customer service to freight forwarders, shippers and agents, including handling inquiries, tracing request and service recovery etc.
- Laise with ground handling agents, customs brokers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth cross-boarder cargo operations.
- Monitor flight loads, space availability and operational performance.
- Prepare and submit timely reports.
- Support cargo sales activities and market development initiatives.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Aviation Management, Business Administration, International Trade or related discipline
- Professional Certifications holder such as IATA Foundation in Air Cargo or FIATA Diploma is an advantage
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant working experience in air cargo reservations, customer service, or sales support within an airline, general sales and service agent (GSSA), or freight forwarding company
- Prior exposure to belly-hold cargo operations on narrow-body aircraft and cross-border Greater Bay Area logistics is highly preferred.
- Experience working with Chinese customs procedures and cross-boundary cargo flows between Shenzhen and Hong Kong is an advantage
- Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Mandarin and Cantonese
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with cargo reservation systems (e.g., Cargo iQ, ALTEA, or similar)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer-oriented mindset
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Detail-oriented with sound numerical and analytical abilities.
- Willing to work shift duties as required by flight schedules
- Occasional travel to Hong Kong or other Greater Bay Area cities may be necessary.
