Greater Bay Airlines’ direct service to Guilin starts today

Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) commenced a scheduled service between Hong Kong and Guilin this morning, further expanding the airline’s network in Mainland China. Passengers of the inaugural flight were greeted by Mr Ricky Chong, Assistant General Manager, Air Network Development, Airport Authority Hong Kong (3rd right), and representatives of the GBA management at the boarding gate of Hong Kong International Airport.

The flight arrived at Guilin Liangjiang International Airport around 9am today and was warmly welcomed by Ms Wang Zixi, Director General of Guilin Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism (11th right), and Mr Stephen Loh, Chief Operating Officer of GBA (12th right), together with other distinguished guests, at a ceremony held on the apron.

(15 April 2025) Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) commenced a scheduled service between Hong Kong and Guilin this morning, further expanding the airline’s network in Mainland China. Passengers of the inaugural flight were greeted by Mr Ricky Chong, Assistant General Manager, Air Network Development, Airport Authority Hong Kong, and representatives of the GBA management at the boarding gate of Hong Kong International Airport. This new direct service operates twice a week, every Tuesday and Saturday.

The flight arrived at Guilin Liangjiang International Airport around 9am today and was warmly welcomed by Ms Wang Zixi, Director General of Guilin Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, and Mr Stephen Loh, Chief Operating Officer of GBA, together with other distinguished guests, at a ceremony held on the apron.

Located in the northeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guilin is renowned for its spectacular natural scenery that is highly reckoned as “peerless in the world”. The most popular attractions include Li River, Elephant Trunk Hill, Riyue Shuangta (Sun and Moon Pagodas) Cultural Park, Seven Star Scenic Area, Jingjiang Palace, Yangshuo Park and Big Banyan Tree.
